Dual-Wield Build Guide — Best Dual Blades Setup
Complete Dual-Wield build guide for Echoes of Aincrad. Best Sword Skills, EX-Mods, stat allocation, combo rotations, and boss strategies for the fastest weapon build.
Why Play Dual-Wield?
Dual-Wield is the fastest attack-speed weapon in Echoes of Aincrad. You trade raw single-hit damage for relentless pressure, high combo counts, and the ability to stun-lock many enemies. If you enjoy weaving through attacks while landing ten hits per second, this build is for you.
Core Mechanics
Dual Blades Stance
You equip two one-handed swords simultaneously. Each weapon contributes its damage independently, but your attack animations are faster and your combo meter builds twice as fast as any other weapon type.
Combo Meter
Every landed hit fills your Combo Meter. At full meter:
- Sword Skills deal +35% damage
- Each consecutive hit extends combo duration
- Dropping the combo (being hit or not attacking for 3 seconds) resets the meter
The Dual-Wield playstyle is about maintaining the offensive. Every dodge, reposition, or defensive action risks resetting your meter.
Stun-Lock Potential
Fast attacks cause hit-stun on most non-boss enemies. You can keep small-to-medium enemies locked in place until they die — they simply cannot act between your rapid strikes.

AoE Farming

Boss Matchups
| Boss | Dual-Wield Strategy |
|---|---|
| ------ | -------------------- |
| Violet Fencer | Blade Dance through her thrust combos. Stay glued to her — do not let her create distance. |
| Ark Guardian | Risky matchup. The beam attack one-shots you. Stay behind the boss at all times. |
| Twin Wardens | Focus Blades first. Your speed lets you attack between his flurry hits. Dodge Flames' AoE. |
| Corrupted Fae Lord | Tough matchup — the fight spawns dark fae adds that interrupt your combos. Clear adds first, then resume pressure. |
Pros and Cons
Pros:- Highest sustained DPS in the game
- Excellent stun-lock potential
- Fun, fast-paced playstyle
- Scales well into endgame
- Very SP-hungry (you must manage stamina carefully)
- Combo meter reset is punishing
- Struggles against enemies that knock you back
- Requires good positioning — you must stay close
Quick Tips
- SP management is your core skill — watch your stamina bar like a hawk. Back off and regen at 30%.
- Do not use Cross Slash at low SP — it costs 35 SP. You will be stuck with no stamina for 2 seconds afterward.
- Sonic Leap closes distance AND deals damage — use it to catch runners, but save it for when terrain is clear.
- Blade Dance has i-frames — use it proactively, not reactively. Predict the attack and dance through it.
- Your combo meter is your damage multiplier — losing it costs you 35% damage. Play aggressive but smart.
